What’s up on WE TOUR#3: Marcin Kopiec

Rollerblading tour in Romania? For most people it will sound rather exotic and weird. I was full of anxiety when I was heading there and didn’t know what to expect. Yet after few first days spent in the Dracula’s country I can easily say that all stereotypes created in Poland about the Romanian society and the level of life there are not true at all. For 8 days I had a chance to visit plenty of small cities, mountain resorts, the capital – Bucharest and I have nothing but positive feelings about it. The bus in which we are spending most of our time is a great place to integration, while “splif breaks” which are more frequent that my cigarette breaks only makes everything easier.

The level of skating is really high, yet the spots are not the easiest ones. At the beginning the weather sucked, but now everything has changed. The organizers of the tour are so juiced now that sometimes they forget about any warm-ups and are taking us to hc, demanding spots straight away. For me, the ordinary blader from Gliwice such idea was too overwhelming. Yet the others didn’t have any difficulties with that and were super juiced even after long night travel or early wake up. What`s up with the polish guys in the tour? Bidet got an injury while doing super stylish fakie 720 on some nice set of stairs, which I guess will put him off for the rest of the tour. Madej is skating all the time and gets clip after clip. Gufi tries not to skip any spot – he skates everywhere and does it super good. Radzik is offended but together with Tomo are looking the spots for themselves and collect good clips. Right now I`m sitting at Mili`s house, the temperature is around 40 degrees and we are going to skate, hopefully there is another good session coming up!

Day#7,8: Targu Mores, Brasov

Yesterday we woke up early to get quickly to the bus and head off to Brasov, with one stop at Targu Mures, where we planned to skate. Yet when we arrived at the place, whole crew tired from previous day, agreed that it would be better the check local swimming pool. After few hours of chilling we found this kink rail where we managed to get some clips and afterwards do some shopping and get prepared for another bus party.

We arrived at our final destination late in the evening. Brasov is a stunning city in the mountains in the center of Romania. We visited some spots and again head for the capital of Romania – Bucharest!

Day#4,5,6: Hundoara, Deva, Cluj-Napoca

Yo!

Last few days were without updates, due to lack of time and my temporary flu. Check the photos from our visit at salt mines, it was really stunning!

Today we have our first day without rain, so we were skating till 1:00 AM. We found some hc spots, and then we finish our session on the perfect ledges which are located about 100m from our hostel. Few hours earlier we escaped from some ticket collector who tried to get our documents – not this time boy! Now we are chilling athe the hostel, and tomorrow morning we are heading for the next stop!

IMG_0724

We arrived at he place about 2:00 AM. The crew welcomed us and even it was late we still chill together at he “magic garden” with everybody. When we woke up next day it was raining :( yet our magic garden and bunch of people from all over Europe know how to deal with such unconvinience. After few hours we decided to visit near not-so-good skatepark and had a small session there, followed by small contest won by Pottier :)

Wussup everybody! We were supposed to go to Hunedoara today for a session. But it’s raining again, so day 3 of the tour is catching us in Sibiu inside our hostel rooms. The proper time for a short tour update.

The stop in Pitesti was a good start of the tour. Everybody had a nice session in the local park, then most of the people headed to the swiming pool. Meanwhile i went to check out a spot that i wanted to skate for a while in my hometown. Then we hit the road to Valcea. where we had one more sesion at some short stair rails where Kessler laced a 450 royale. We jumped in the bus again and after many spliff breaks we finally made it to Villa Teilor in Sibiu (where we are right now).

Later in the night the polish connection joined We Tour. Welcome guys!

Yesterday was raining most of the day and we made a session in a small park made by the BMXers, witch happens to be the only indoor park from Romania. Baloo decided to organise a small contest. Pottier was motivated and won by distance.

Thanx to royal bmx crew for keeping the park open till late especially for us!

The vibe on tour is great, with more than 30 people there’s always stuff to do: partying, skating, drinking, swimming and partying again! In 2 weeks of tour we have time for everything, i hope we’ll also have enough money :)! everybody is enjoying THE event of the summer. If youre not on tour, you can meet us the next days in Cluj. Now i’ll start to make another short edit. Stay tuned for the we tour daily updates! Peace!
